Holiday Itinerary

Join a wonderful team of trainers at this lovely location in the south of Spain where you'll be staying 6 nights in a lovely beachfront hotel near the town of Almunecar, a stunning coastal town with a subtropical climate year round.

By day you will have a mix of physical activities and scenic walks to boost your individual fitness levels and needs. Before dinner, as the heat wears off, you’ll be burning calories through outdoor adventures; whether the day brings you hiking, cycling or jogging.
 
Each day will also have some time for relaxing and restorative sessions including meditation, Pilates or yoga. There'll be no gyms, just making the most of the great outdoors and utilising what the natural surroundings.
 
This is in no way a detox or time to starve; rather a holiday in the sun to boost your physical wellbeing with foods that will help improve your overall wellbeing. Everybody is different and the team will be there to help figure out what foods are best for your personal body type and goals. The meals provided will ensure your energy levels stay up. Breakfast is all about protein, nutrients and vitamins, you main meal is for refuelling and restoring energy for activities, using lean protein and the freshest local vegetables.
 
You'll be looked after by a wonderful team who'll be on hand to help you every step of the way. They'll be taking care all aspects of the holiday from training and nutrition to mindfulness. Their goal is to start you on a life changing path of fitness, confidence and good nutrition, so you can carry it into your daily life once you return home.

I'm travelling solo - can I join?
- This makes a great singles holiday as it is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people
- Solo travellers will have their own ensuite room with no additional single supplements
- Lots of group and team activities so it’s impossible not to mingle

When can I start?
- Fitness holidays are for 6 nights / 7 days are run on one date per month from April to October (excluding August)
- If you wish to stay for extra nights, please email to check availability for your preferred duration and we will do our best to accommodate you
- If dates appear ‘on request’, please email us hello@golearnto.com and we’ll check availability for your preferred day of arrival as quickly as possible

Typical itinerary
The fitness programme is not standardised - rather your trainers will adjust your programme according to weather conditions and the fitness levels of the participants, while having some space in the itinerary to change things up and throw in some surprises as well. Each morning, you’ll receive an itinerary for the day ahead.
 
A typical daily routine:
- 8-8:45am: Pre-breakfast activity such as jogging, yoga, stretches or aerobics
- 9am: Healthy breakfast followed by free time
- 11:30-2pm: Coastal walk to the marina
- 2-3:30pm: Enjoy a healthy lunch at the marina
- 3:30-4:15pm: Walk to La Herradura bay followed by free time
- 6:30-7:30pm: Health/nutrition talk with the nutritionist
- 7:30pm: Enjoy dinner in the old town, on the beach or at the hotel

*Please note there will be a free day where you can just enjoy some time for yourself and the area. There will be an optional city trip to Granada if you would like to see the city, and costs €20 for the transportation.

Head trainer - Ivan Gonzalez Wolfram
- Ivan is an extremely friendly and positive person who is hardworking, but focuses on creating a fun, motivating environment
Fitness trainer - Gustavo Vallejo
- Gustavo is a fully qualified fitness trainer with heaps of experience, who brings, fun, energy and excitement with his knowledge to each session
Yoga instructor - Brice Canipel
- Brice has spent years practicing different types of yoga and meditation around the world, and offers unique and fulfilling yoga and mediation sessions throughout the week
Nutritionist - TBC
- The nutritionist on hand during your week will work with you to offer advice on whatever goal you are striving to achieve

What will I learn?
 - You will learn new ways to relax and focus alongside your fitness sessions, nutrition advice and healthy meals
- Learn how to lose fat, and build muscle, as well as how to reduce or completely get rid of anxiety, depression and stress
- Every will bring a new wild fitness adventure, whether it’s hiking in a stunning mountain range or cycling in the the tropical countryside
- Hopefully you will be trying something new during the week and having a great time

Where will I be staying?
- Your hotel for the week is located on the beachfront
- Each room has Mediterranean decor, plenty of natural light and is fully equipped so you have every comfort during your stay
- All rooms have A/C and heat, TV, WiFi, radios, refrigerator and toiletries
- A heated pool and Jacuzzi are all on the hotel grounds for you to enjoy
- There is also a great spa available if you would like to book yourself in for a massage/treatment (for an additional cost)
- Accommodation is included for 6 nights / 7 days
- Your gym will be the beautiful outdoors
- Check in any time after 3pm on day 1 and check out before noon on day 7

Are meals included?
- Meals and nutrition will be a key part of the experience to get your body efficient for your workout and overall health
- Delicious meals are prepared from fresh local produce, and will feature local fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood and lean proteins, eggs, heart healthy oils, and so much more
- All breakfasts and one main meal per day are included in the price
- If you have dietary requests, these must be communicated to us at the time of booking

What can I do in my free time?
- The hotel is located just a 10 minute walk from old town of Almunecar, with beautiful white washed buildings, a castle, shops, restaurants and bars
- You’ll also be 10 minutes from the botanical gardens
- The hotel is right on the beach, where snorkelling and scuba diving is a popular local favourite
- This is a great area for grabbing a cup of coffee, wine or local tapas
